Thirteen candidates are elected to the Boston School Committee is elected.

The new members are Abigail Browne, Daniel Burke, Joseph Casper, John Grady, William Marchione, Kevin McCluskey, Jean McGuire, John Nucci, John O’Bryant, Thomas O’Reilly, Shirley Owens-Hicks, Grace Romero, Rita Walsh-Tomasini. McCluskey is the top vote getter with 93,489. Grace Romero is the first Hispanic elected to the School Committee.
